Tilburg welcomes regional edition of the Dutch Dance Days

Tilburg further strengthens its reputation as a dance city: in October 2026, the city will host a true regional edition of the Nederlandse Dansdagen (Dutch Dance Days) for the first time, the leading national festival for Dutch dance. Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg, along with Tilburg Dansstad, forms the heart of this first Tilburg edition, which will take place from October 9 to 11, 2026.

A new direction for the Nederlandse Dansdagen

The Nederlandse Dansdagen will open a new chapter in 2026. With a refined content strategy and a stronger national distribution, the festival consciously chooses to connect with various cities in the Netherlands. In addition to Maastricht – the familiar festival heart – new satellite editions will emerge in Tilburg, Enschede, and Zwolle.

With this development, the organization aims to increase the visibility of dance and broaden the encounter between creators, audiences, and professionals.

Dance in Tilburg: a logical match

As part of Tilburg Dansstad and with a strong, growing dance climate, Tilburg is an obvious partner in this new national setup. The first edition of Dansdagen (Dance Days) Tilburg will bring a mix of performances, meetings, and deepening programs, fitting for Tilburg and the Nederlandse Dansdagen: innovative, multi-voiced, and accessible.
