At Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg (S&CT), we are passionately working day in and day out to connect with Tilburg. Specifically, we ignite that spark between artists and audiences, between people and their city. This translates into over 400 performances and concerts each year that we bring to life, featuring big names, new talent, and everything in between. As the cultural heart of the city, we serve Tilburg, and that can only be done with Tilburg. Our venues, foyers, and city café are places where the city gathers: children experiencing their first theater performance through school, students finding a nice workspace at city foyer Boove, residents meeting each other in our city café Benee, T*Agency giving a voice to youth, and emerging creators. Every day is buzzing with stories, ideas, music, and ambition.
Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg is looking for a
Marketer Social & Activation (32-36 hours)
We are looking for a marketing professional with a flair for social media and design skills. Someone who gets energized by contributing to an entirely new brand direction and can steer ideas, concepts, projects, and plans from that framework.
As the Marketer Social & Activation, you will be the inspiring and activating cannon of our team.
What will you do?
You will translate everything that happens with us into stories, visuals, and social content that resonate with people. You see opportunities and seize them, from concept to execution.
- You come up with formats for social media and create them yourself. Filming, editing, cutting? You can do it all with your phone;
- You devise new ideas to profile us as the cultural heart of Tilburg;
- You are a sparring partner for colleagues and programmers: you know how to connect the stories of creators and artists to the needs of Tilburgers;
- You review press releases, direct mails, magazine texts, advertorials, web, and social copy;
- You coordinate the production of all marketing materials with external agencies, photographers, and influencers;
- You lead internal marketing-related projects, maintain the schedule, and keep an overview;
- You and your team occasionally manage the general communication mailbox;
- You write plans for social media and campaigns, tailored to our activities and goals;
- You allocate and monitor budgets for your themes and projects;
- Every six months, you mentor/support an intern and impart industry knowledge;
- Bonus: you can also design outside of social media. Creating a branding for a production, poster, flyer, or internal communication if needed.
Who are you:
You have experience as a marketer or social content creator and feel at home in a dynamic environment. Preferably also in the cultural sector and certainly in Tilburg. But more importantly: you have a fervent motivation to elevate your social role in connecting Tilburg with culture to the next 45 levels.
You find something, voice it out, and kick things off. We don’t have to tell you what to do. You tell us what we can do to facilitate you in achieving our objectives.
- You are capable of translating ideas into plans that align with our ambition;
- You are an aesthetic marvel in what you create;
- You live and breathe social, not just within your own channels or feed;
- You work methodically and organized, but can also switch gears if the schedule suddenly changes;
- You have a higher vocational education work and thinking level (even without a diploma, don’t let that hold you back);
- You feel comfortable with content-related, operational, and coordinating tasks;
- You can empathize with a variety of target audiences: from event attendees, businesses to city café guests;
- You are proactive: you see what needs to be done and take initiative, even when not everything is crystal clear;
- You enjoy executing and improving processes;
- You are flexible with working hours: performances are often in the evening, it’s important to feel comfortable with that. Those hours will be compensated at another time;
- You have a ‘one for all, all for one’ mentality: sometimes that means inflating an air cushion or pushing a flight case to the other side of the building. Whether you are the director or this is a side job, we all pitch in during the moment of truth;
- And most importantly: at least one of your current colleagues will cry when you leave. Not because of your work but for what you add as a person to the culture of an organization.
What we offer:
- A workplace in the heart of the city, in a vibrant, creative organization;
- Employment conditions according to the collective labor agreement for Dutch theaters, scale 6;
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home part-time;
- Discount at city café Benee;
- Free access to a lot of performances and concerts.
