Originally from Finland and now based in the Netherlands, Repokari draws on his background in vocal performance to craft compositions with a keen ear for nuance, timbre and dramatic tension. His music has been performed in a wide range of contexts, from major concert halls to experimental stages across Finland and the Netherlands, including Helsinki, Eindhoven, Tilburg, The Hague and ’s‑Hertogenbosch. His pieces have featured at contemporary music festivals such as Tracking Tilburg by De Link and November Music.

Repokari’s catalogue includes orchestral, choral and chamber works that often explore the interplay between mythological imagery, poetic language and sonic expression. Recent projects include Väinämöinen Builds the Magic Kantele, written for Brabant Choir in collaboration with Fontys Academy of the Arts and Souvenir Youth Choir, Lohtu, an orchestral work composed for Symco Breda, and a commissioned piece for Capella Brabant on a text by Micha Hamel within the series Kroonpen: Briljant en Breekbaar.

As a conductor, he has led performances such as Sofia Gubaidulina’s Meditation über den Bach-Choral at Bachdag in Tilburg and collaborated with the Anemoi Wind Orchestra and the Aurum Chamber Orchestra.
With his final exam programme, Repokari presents the full scope of his artistic identity: narrative, layered, inquisitive and grounded in a distinctive musical imagination.
