Familiar classical works are given a new and even more haunting context. You will hear, among others, Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre, Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King and Åse’s Death, Sibelius’ Valse triste, and Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain. The music is interwoven with live electronics and a work specially composed for this production by composer-in-residence Bruno Culotti.

The visual world of The Haunted Mansion is designed by visual designer Sebastiaan Schoonen. Holographic imagery and projections bring the mansion to life, allowing music and visuals to respond continuously to one another. As a result, the concert hall becomes not just a place where you listen to music, but a world in which you are fully immersed.

The Brabant Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Amin Amel Ebrahimi, consists of young professional musicians from more than twenty countries and is constantly exploring new ways of presenting classical music. In The Haunted Mansion, music, technology, visuals and storytelling come together in one immersive concert experience.
