In this new family production by Jetse Batelaan (winner of the 2026 Directing Award), we see adults racing through their personal lives at breakneck speed. In the little time they have left, they rush from one event to the next. There is flirting, bickering, laughter, and tears. In this runaway drama, dizzying highs and crushing lows alternate at a breakneck pace—all in a feverish attempt to leave an indelible mark.

And all the while, something else seems to be stirring in the periphery of our vision. It moves at a snail’s pace, yet something is unmistakably happening. But these adults have no time for that. They have to keep moving! The next triviality is already clamoring for their attention.

Can anyone help them? Is there anyone here who actually sees the big picture? Are there perhaps any children in the audience?

After the success of Het eind van het begin van het einde (2020), Een leuk avondje uit (2022) and De (2024), Theater Artemis, hetpaleis and Het Zuidelijk Toneel join forces once again for a fourth collaboration.
