50 Years The Last Waltz
Exactly fifty years after The Band's legendary farewell concert, Rotterdam's Dawn Brothers are bringing The Last Waltz to Dutch theatres. With only thirteen concerts in November and December 2026, this is not a tour you can “catch another time”, but a rare opportunity to be there. And one of these performances in the exceptionally limited series is at Schouwburg Tilburg!
On 25 November 1976, The Band bid farewell at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The concert was immortalised in Martin Scorsese's famous film and became a cultural benchmark. With their idiosyncratic mix of rock, folk, country and blues, The Band left an indelible mark on music history and laid the foundations for what we now call Americana.
The Dawn Brothers have their sound deeply rooted in the folk rock and Americana tradition. With their polyphonic vocals and raw, energetic live approach, they are undoubtedly the band of choice to perform this tribute. It is no coincidence that they have been performing on leading stages for years, from North Sea Jazz to Americanafest in Nashville.
& Friends: An evening full of musical heavyweights
For the Tilburg edition, the Dawn Brothers will be joined by a selection of special guest artists who together form a broad palette of the contemporary Dutch roots and Americana scene. Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg will welcome singer-songwriter Tim Knol, wordsmith and performer Nico Dijkshoorn, blues virtuoso Ian Siegal, drummer & singer Darryl Ciggaar, yéyé pop icon Fleur Elman and Pablo van de Poel, guitarist with DeWolff - the band that the Dawn Brothers proudly count among their musical “besties”.
50 Years The Last Waltz at Schouwburg Tilburg is a one-off live experience celebrating a legendary concert with the energy and urgency of today. An evening you won't want to miss.
This performance has no interval.
